Knockhill 40th celebration

To celebrate 40 years of motorsport at Knockhill, classic two stroke machines were invited to take part in a guest race at British Superbikes.

After a resonable Friday for untimed practice the weather was forecast grim for the rest of the weekend.

It was sad that the weather was so dreadful, not just for the organisers and competitors but also the spectators who’d made the effort to come along – so we had to do our best to put on a show.

It was great to catch up with lots of the two stroke grid that I hadn’t seen since ICGP days

Eddie and Ally had put together a bike that was a beautiful work of art built on one of the last frames Bill Simpson fabricated.
